The Play-Doh Burger Builder is for ages 3 and up and costs around $15.99. It comes with 5 containers of Play-Doh - colors that you will need for your burgers! There is a tan for the bun, a brown for meat, green for lettuce and pickles, yellow for onions, mustard and chips, red for tomatoes and ketchup. It comes with the Burger Maker contraption, where you can switch out between 6 plates to press down and make the different food shapes. There are also little shape things that you slide into the presser to squeeze out mustard, ketchup, etc. Finally, there is a twist-a-chip maker. And it also comes with a plastic "knife" and plate.
When we first played, we made the food any color we wanted. Red buns, green meat, etc. Then my son got really into it and wanted it to look just like the burger on the box. So we assembled some gorgeous, photogenic patties. I daresay, the Burger Maker rivals the Spaghetti Factory - but he honestly loves them both.
One thing is for sure, I am always on the Play-Doh aisle now to see what new toys they are coming out with, because they are so great for inspiring children to create. Play-Doh makes an excellent birthday or Christmas gift!
If you would like to purchase the Burger Maker, you can find it online at Hasbro. You can also find places that sell it near you!
