Leapfrog: Let's Go to School

Kids have been starting to go back to school this past week! That can be a little scary for the littlest of students, entering preschool, prekindergarten or kindergarten. That's what makes LeapFrog's video starring the well-known Tad and Lily a great introduction to school as it reviews numbers, the alphabet, animals and following instructions.

Let's Go to School follows Lily and Tad as they are about to start school the next day. Their friend the firefly (Edison) gives them a tour of the classroom and they both learn lessons and teach lessons to common classroom toys and tools - like the clock, building blocks and toy animals. Along with small lessons on phonics, counting, days of the week and animal families, the boys also enjoyed the fun songs that helped develop these concepts! Even though my oldest doesn't start preschool until next year, it still had valuable lessons for him! After all, it's made for children 3 to 6 years old.

Overall we loved Let's Go to School! I thought it was great how it reinforced concepts my kids need to know before going to school - like counting and the alphabet! It's a great additional to our educational DVD collection! You can purchase it for $14.98 from LeapFrog.com and hopefully ease your little one into school, as well!
