Peanuts' Footwear from New Balance Shoes

Ack! I just saw pictures of some of the cutest shoes, courtesy of New Balance. You see, it was just announced that they will carry a kid's footwear collection that creatively blends the most beloved characters from Charles M. Schulz’s popular strip with New Balance’s heritage running style – the 574.

These shoes are going to be available October 2009 - just in time for the Great Pumpkin! You can purchase them in infant, pre-school and grade school sizes, as the collection brings some of PEANUTS’ most popular stories to life!
  • It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,
  • A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas
Just imagine the gift-giving possibilities. I've actually been showing my son Peanuts videos from YouTube to get him excited about these shoes!

And not only do these shoes look super cute, they are also constructed with premium materials for comfort and breathability. Plus they feature EVA cushioning in the midsole and heel and a solid rubber outsole for support and durability.

Fun PEANUTS character detailing elements include a soft tongue lining, vibrant colors, eye-catching embroidery and embossing on the upper.

Suggested retail prices will be $38.00 for infants, $48.00 for pre-school, and $60.00 for grade school.

United Media, the group that licenses and syndicates PEANUTS, knows this is a great way to kick off the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of PEANUTS in 2010. This is the first of three New Balance and PEANUTS co-branded footwear collections that will launch during 2009 and 2010.
