Embedding your Siggy in the Code

On my other blog (private )I have a cute siggy that is Brute Squad Mommy. It looks something like:

Well, it was one of the first things I learned how to do as a blogger. Instead of putting the code in the template, which then often gets messed up as I am typing, it is added on automatically and correctly each time.

Here is how I did it. I made a png file using Adobe Illustrator and uploaded it on Photobucket.com. Then on my Blogger dashboard I clicked "Layout". Then I clicked "Template". Then I chose "Edit HTML".

Click the "Expand Widget Templates" options.

Hit Ctrl-F. Find this line of code:

div class='post-footer-line post-footer-line-1'

Paste this line of code below that line. Except where I put { and } - you put <>. This code was giving me issues trying to type it in the blog.

{img src='IMAGE' style='border: none; background: transparent;'/}

Finally, change the capitalized IMAGE to the actual URL or direct link for the image you want to use from Photobucket.com and save. It was that easy!
