Blog Buzz: Mummified Times Five

One blog that often catches my attention is Mummified Times Five. I love Tina's header, with the mom so crazed that she doesn't even have time to brush out her Medusa-like hair. Now, let's get a better understanding of the mom behind the blog - Tina!

1. What's your blog about? Why did you start it?
My blog is called Mummified Times Five. It is a family/parenting/mommy blog. I focus on parenting issues, family dilemmas, raising teenagers :shudder!:, raising tweens, raising babies/toddlers, shopping, mummy time, relationships, homemaking, product reviews, giveaways and dealing with the ups and downs of having a large family.

I started blogging in Oct 2007. At first it was a creative outlet for me and a way to get in touch with other mommy bloggers. When I realized that I was able to monetize my blog, it then became a way for me to help supplement our income and allow me to continue being a stay home mum.

2. Tell us about your family! Spouse, kids, pets?
I've been with my husband, Bill, for 18 years. We have been married for 16 of those years. We have 5 children aged 16, 15, 13, 8 and 2. We also have 2 furbabies, a corgi X and a chihuahua X.

3. Do you own any other blogs? List them!
I also blog at Two Shrinking Sisters with my sister. We are documenting our weight loss journeys.

4. Favorite post from your blog?
"Do you need to go?"

Erin's Note: It's not what you think. Well, yes, it's about using the restroom ... but here her daughter provides the suggestion. A cute read!

5. What's one piece advice you'd give the bloggers who read this?
Don't let anyone tell you what you can or can't blog about. It's your blog! If they don't like what you're blogging about, they don't have to read it!

6. What's a must-read blog - besides your own!
One of my most favourite blogs is The Hyper Homemaker.
