New Year's Party: Persnicketea

So, it's early afternoon. Kids are napping. House is clean, thanks to my Roomba. Laundry is folded. I think what I need now is to hit a Shoe Sale. Or maybe a good Girl's Night Out. Nah, I think Carrot Cake is in order.Don't worry, I am not waking those napping kiddos up. I am just taking a real break, like I deserve. And those are just a small sampling of tea names you can find and order from Persnicketea, a loose leaf tea company that encourages moms to take a moment for themselves and indulge in some "me-time".
Persnicketea makes it easy to find what you are looking for. Do you want a tea that will soothe you, after a hectic morning, afternoon or day? Or do you want a tea to revive you, so you can keep up with your energizer toddler? There are also tantalizing dessert teas, iced teas and a selection of tea accessories.Now, I had the opportunity to try a few of Persnicketea's teas - Carrot Cake, Carpool Queen and Beauty and the Beach. They were all easy to make. Boil water. Put the suggested amount of loose tea in a small Teela-Filter, also available from Persnicketea. Let it steep for a few minutes. Add milk and sugar or enjoy as it is!
Let's talk Carrot Cake. When I first opened the 3 ounce package it smelled like I was in a bakery! Sweet and nutty, with a hint of cinnamon. The tea contains organic rooiboss, organic honeybush, cinnamon, carrots, cloves, walnuts, raisins, ginger, coconut, maple brittle and natural flavors. I added a little milk and sugar to really treat myself. Wow. What a wonderful late morning break! Carrot Cake Tea is truly a guilt-free indulgence. ( 3 ounce pack makes approximately 3 servings)
Next I had the Carpool Queen, a Vanilla Chai loose black tea that is WONDERFUL with plenty of milk and sugar. (This was my favorite of the three I sampled!) Honestly, all I can say is YUM! The perfect tea to sit back and relax with girlfriends, family or yourself. Carpool Queen is made of black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, peppercorn, star anise and natural flavors. ( 3 ounce pack makes approximately 3 servings)
Finally, I broke open Beauty and the Beach. What a yummy, fruity scent! I felt like I was on vacation with one whiff. This tea is a mix of white tea, organic green ttea, organic lemon myrtle, ginger, citrus peel, pineapple (you see the chunks!), anise, papaya, pomegrante, natural flavors, marigold and jasmine. And the taste is perfect for relaxing poolside in the sun! Plus, a one ounce canister makes 9 - 13 servings!
Now, I have a few tea drinkers in my family. I definitely think they would LOVE the flavors and get a kick out of the names. The tea for ta tas is so cool ~ One hundred percent of the proceeds from this tea goes to the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation ~ and 100% is simply awesome!

Ummm...love tea! It took a while but I even have the boys loving and trying new teas. Sadly the ex only drank Folgers. Had no idea what he was missing.
